What is Play Fool?
Play Fool is an attempt to unpack the games we play and the games which play us. Play, then, is a convenient lens onto anything and everything. I draw upon anthropology, psychology, history, linguistics, anarchism and aesthetics to provide a unique lens on the structures of daily life. I am interested in those structures which exist, those which we imagine, and, most importantly, those which exist because we imagine them.
It also gestures towards what life might be like if we accept the collapse of those structures. What kind of playing we might be able to do then?
It is a project of Aden Date (hello 👋). It is currently in low power mode while I focus on other things.
